The entrance  monument at Taylor Creek has been completed. What a beautiful looking entrance monument, don’t you think?

Let’s take a closer look at this amazing rock, shall we?

This beautiful piece of limestone is from Rivard Stone in Somerset, WI. This particular stone is Oneota Limestone or what’s locally referred to as St. Croix Valley Limestone or Rustic Cream. Rather than cutting or carving into the stone the Taylor Creek logo you see is an appliqué. The logo is made of metal and then applied to the surface of the stone which prevents erosion from rain and snow over the long term. Interestingly, the stone sits on a 60,000 pound footing and the stone itself weights 20,000. It probably took more than a few guys to set it in place.

If you haven’t yet gotten out to see any of the new luxury homes at  Taylor Creek of Plymouth, MN yet, this weekend is a great time to do so. Not only is the weather supposed to be mild but the Parade of Homes 2011 is taking place and Plymouth is filled with homes on the tour. New luxury homes of Taylor Creek start at $700,000 to over $1.5 m. The homes at Taylor Creek are luxurious, stunning and energy efficient with saving of up to 30% on energy costs.

In fact our very own Aspen floor plan in Spring Meadows (across the street from Taylor Creek) is in the Parade of Homes this year. So swing on by and while you’re at it take a gander at the brand new Taylor Creek Monument.
